Weight Gain Plan

What's the best way to gain weight?

Your weight gain plan should include supplements.

A diet to gain weight should include what I call the most important vitamins. A high quality multivitamin, and fish oil supplement.

You should be using these along with muscle building supplements.

One of the basic weight gain tips is to make sure you're getting your vitamins and omega 3 fatty acids. When you build a weight gain plan it is important to include these two supplements.

They don't add value through calories, but they are essential for your body to work at an optimal level.

Supplements help fill the holes in your weight gain plan

What do I mean by holes?

Well, when you create a weight gaining diet, you should be aiming for some sort of goal. You usually need a certain amount of calories, and you always want to meet your daily protein requirement.

It is more effective to figure out your calories and protein based on natural food, then use supplements to reach the numbers you require.

This works because when you want to gain weight, natural foods are the best choice.

But there are two little problems with trying to only eat natural foods:

  • You might not be able to afford as much as you need
  • You might not be able to physically eat that much real food

It can be very expensive to eat chicken or beef three times a day. A diet to gain weight will require you to eat a lot. You need to eat like a bear. Unfortunately, your budget might not let you.

Eating a lot of food is not easy either. If you're not used to eating 6 egg whites in the morning, it will take you some time to get used to it. Also, making 6 meals a day can be hard. If you don't like to cook in advance, it can be tough to constantly be making food.

The most important part of a weight gain plan is not to miss meals.

When you miss meals because you can't afford them, or you're not in the mood to make them, you won't achieve any weight gain.

This is where weight gaining supplements come in.

The trick is to drink your calories. Weight gaining supplements are the easiest way to increase your calories. It is much easier to drink 1000 calories than it is to eat them, and it's cheaper.

But it is important to remember that supplements are just a tool in your weight gaining diet. You don't want to be drinking protein shakes all day long.

Supplements and your weight plan

I would recommend you design your diet around muscle building foods first. Design a diet that you can afford and that you know you can eat everyday.

Next, use supplements to achieve the numbers you require.

For example, let's say you want to eat 3000 calories per day.

You are positive you can eat 4 eggs in the morning with a cup of oatmeal. You can afford to eat 3 chicken breasts during the day with 2 cups of brown rice and 2 cups of veggies. Then, use a weight gainer like Muscle Juice to reach 3000 calories.

Now, this is not an exact diet to follow.

You know what foods you like and what you can afford. It just shows you that there is usually an amount of calories you need to eat everyday, and weight gaining supplements can help you get all those calories.

As a rule of thumb, times your body weight by 18 or 20. This is the amount of calories you should be eating everyday to gain weight.

So, if you weigh 170 pounds, you need to eat around 3000 to 3500 calories per day (18-20 x 170). Find out how much of those calories you can realistically get from natural food, then supplement the extra calories with a weight gainer like Muscle Juice.
