Rockstar Energy Drink

Party like a Rock Star

The Rockstar Energy drink has a pretty cool marketing campaign.

It markets its products through extreme sports, similar to the Monster Energy Drink, and it also targets the party scene.

Energy drinks are becoming more and more popular with the party scene. First it was vodka Red Bulls and jager bombs (Red Bull and jagermeister). Now Rockstar Energy drink offers an alcoholic mix.

It's called Rockstar 21. It contains 6% alc/vol. Supposedly a lot of store clerks have gotten in trouble selling it to minors because the cans look very similar to the non alcoholic drinks.

Along with the alcohol mixers, the products in the Rockstar Energy family range from the original formula, to the coffee brew and energy shooters.

Rockstar Energy Drink The Original Rockstar

Rockstar claims to be the world's most powerful drink.

With the large 16 ounce can it packs 150 mg of caffeine. This seems to be the middle mark based on the amount of caffeine. A typical cup of coffee has about 100 mg of caffeine.

Some energy drinks like Red Bull have about half the amount of caffeine, while others like the Cocaine Energy drink have almost double.

For the 16 ounce can, the amount of caffeine seems to be pretty standard.

The original Rockstar Energy drink has a citrus taste that has gotten good reviews. For the most part, people who drink energy drinks rate this product pretty high on taste and overall energy boost.

Also, one ingredient that is not found in other energy drinks is milk thistle. This is an ingredient that helps your liver stay healthy. Many bodybuilders who take oral steroids usually supplement with milk thistle.

Here are some of the other products:

Sugar Free

The name says it all. Same energy boost, but with no sugar or carbs. It comes in a white can.

Zero Carb

This drink comes in a blue can. It has less calories and carbs and supposedly has 50% more of an energy kick.

Juiced

The juiced drink come in 3 flavours; mango, guava and pomegranate. The claim is that it has 50% juice, but the same amount of energy as the original. This may be their way of trying to provide a "healthier" alternative.

Punched

This is another juice flavoured drink but with more caffeine than the original.

Rockstar Mocha Roasted

Rockstar Roasted is the coffee and energy mix.

The cold coffee drinks have gotten very popular and Rockstar Energy is taking advantage.

They offer a latte, mocha and vanilla flavoured mix.

Energy Shots

These are like an espresso. They have no sugar or carbs, but pack 200 mg of caffeine in a 3 ounce shot.

The original is still the most popular Rockstar drink.

Most energy drinks follow the same pattern. They come out with their main drink, and branch off into other product categories.

For the most part, the feedback on the Rockstar Energy drink has been positive.
