Over 50 what supplements to take to get lean and cut

I am over 50 but in pretty good shape, but I want to get more cut. Can I take NO Explode without side effects (ie bad) or is there something else I should be looking at?

Answer:

NO Xplode should not give you bad side effects, however it might not be the best option for your goals.

These types of pre workout supplements or NO2 supplements help to improve your overall workout. They increase your energy and often give you a "pump" feeling. Some do contain good ingredients for muscle growth like creatine and various amino acids, but some also contain stimulants. They aren't specifically designed to burn fat or get you lean. All they do is help boost your energy levels. What you do with that extra energy will dictate whether or not you get cut and lean.

That's really the extent to how they can benefit you. People like them because they get that energy boost and pump throughout their workout. Some people like this feeling and train harder in the gym, but in terms of burning fat and getting lean, you will need to do other things to see results.

Getting lean and cut is going to be influenced first by your diet, then by your training. These pre workout supplements are beneficial in helping you train harder. So if your diet is in line with getting cut, and your training is design around losing weight, then you might benefit from using supplements like NO Xplode.... BUT if your diet and training is not designed around burning fat then adding a supplement like this won't help. I hope that makes sense.

So really, what's your diet looking like? This is really going to be the main factor in getting lean and cut. If you're not sure you might want to get more information from these popular diet programs.

Cleaning up your diet and increasing your cardio exercise is always going to the best recommendation for getting lean. There's no short cut around it. No matter what your age is, altering your diet will have the biggest impact on your appearance, followed by your exercise routine.

So, I would recommend that you don't buy NO Xplode at this time and invest in one of the resources on diet and exercise instead. Although the most popular diet programs outline here will give you a thorough review of exactly what you need to do, here's a quick meal and exercise guide to try.

Doing this for a month will definitely help you get cut. It's a bit extreme for some, but it definitely works:

Within 30 minutes of waking up consume 30 grams of protein. This is either 5 eggs or a scoop and 1/2 of whey protein.

Go for a 30 minute jog either before this first meal or shortly after. Set your alarm for 30 minutes early and throw your runners on and get out there. If this isn't an option get 30 minutes of cardio some other time during the day.

All your other meals should consist of lean protein, vegetables and carbs such as lentils and beans. If you need more complex carbs before training have brown rice, oatmeal or sweet potatoes. ONLY have these before training. You should just stick to lentils and beans like kidney beans or black beans with all your other meals.

No high glycemic carbs like white bread, pasta, white rice, bagels, fruit. If it comes in a wrapper don't eat it. No fast food.

Don't drink milk or eat high amounts of fruit. Stick with water and use cream in your coffee instead of milk.

That's about it. Do this for a month and you will definitely get leaner. Maintain high amounts of protein in each meal and if you need to only consume those complex carbs before training.

This should help you burn fat. If you only do one of these things, try the whey protein shake first thing in the morning.
