Non Essential Amino Acids

All amino acids are important

Non essential amino acids can be produced by our bodies.

This does not mean they are not as important as the essential amino acids.

All 20 common amino acids are needed for optimal health.

Out of the 20 common amino acids, 12 are non essential and 8 are essential. Click here for the list of essential amino acids.

Again, non essential does not mean they are non important.

Good sources of protein will provide you with quality amino acids.

Complete proteins have both non essential, and essential amino acids. These sources are meat, milk, cheese, and eggs.

Other ways to get amino acids are from plant sources of protein.

Whole grains, rice, beans, legumes, oatmeal, peas are incomplete proteins. They do not have all essential amino acids.

If you are a vegetarian, or you don't get enough animal sources of protein in your diet, then health supplements can provide good sources of protein.

Product Recommendations:

If you're looking for an amino acid product, I would recommend Xtend from SciVation.
