Nitric Oxide Supplement

Why use a nitric oxide supplement?

One of the benefits of a nitric oxide supplement is the pump.

If you lift weights, you obviously know what I'm talking about.

It's an awesome feeling.

A nitric oxide supplement will help you maintain that pump throughout your workout.

This is why these supplements are classified as performance supplements, or pre workout supplements.

If you are unfamiliar with the pump, who better to explain it then Arnold Schwarzenegger.

What is Nitric Oxide?

Nitric oxide is also called NO2.

It is a gas. When your body breaks down an amino acid called arginine, the gas is produced in your blood vessels.

When you get a pump, blood rushes into your muscles. Just like Arnold says, "it feels like somebody is blowing air into your muscle"

Nitric oxide (NO) increases the blood flow to your muscles. If you remember working out your biceps or chest, and having that puffy look and feel, it's due to all the blood that has rushed into your muscles.

When you exercise, NO is released which causes a big blood flow. This leads to the pump feeling. The problem is that it doesn't last too long. Usually by the time you get home from the gym you've lost it.

A nitric oxide supplement will help you get that pump feeling to last longer.

NO2 supplement is just another tool

This is not a supplement that is going to make you huge over night.

What it will do is help extend that pump feeling you get when you lift weights.

Along with a pump that should last much longer, the other claims are an increase in muscle size, muscle recovery and strength.

The man who brought us creatine has also introduced the nitric oxide supplement. With all the research and studies concluding that creatine is effective, it's easy to recommend. With creatine you will most likely get your money's worth.

With NO2 supplements, I can't recommend them to you based on any studies.

Many of the creatine claims are backed up through numerous studies. The claims made about the NO2 supplement have not really be demonstrated through tests and studies.

Now, this does not mean they don't work. It's not like there are studies concluding that these supplements don't work.

Apart from having no real hard evidence, there seems to be enough positive reviews out there to justify trying the product. Most people love the pump feeling, just like Arnold does.

People have reported great pumps while using these products. Although you probably won't get a pump all day long.

For the most part, the reviews surrounding these supplements has been positive.

Users have reported:
  • Awesome pumps
  • More energy
  • Increase in strength

With all these positive effects there have been very few negative nitric oxide side effects. None that should really deter you from trying a NO2 supplement.

The bottom line is if you eat well and workout consistently, these supplements are worth a try.

They are not as important as a basic protein supplement, nor as effective as creatine (based on reported studies), but they have gotten enough positive user feeback to make them worth a shot.

Also remember, a nitric oxide supplement is just another tool in your fitness program. They will never replace consistency, persistence and intensity in the gym. They won't replace a well balanced nutrition plan either.

But if you love the pump, and you're looking for an extreme one with a great energy boost, they seem to be worth it.
