Micronized Creatine

New and Improved Creatine Monohydrate

Micronized creatine is the new and improved form of creatine monohydrate.

Some of the few complaints or drawbacks about basic creatine monohydrate are put to rest with the new and improved micronized creatine.

Most top experts will recommend creatine monohydrate over other types of creatine. It has proven itself over and over and the research is clear that this type of creatine works.

But what you will find is that most creatine monohydrate products these days have been enhanced. Most of them are now micronized which is a good improvement.

Here are the main benefits of this new creatine:

  • Dissolves faster
  • Absorbed better

These new characteristics make creatine much more effective, which leads to other benefits as well.

Micronized Creatine Dissolves Faster

You'd be surprised at how much creatine people waste, in fact, you may have even wasted some creatine in the past.

The thing with creatine monohydrate is that you must let it fully dissolve before you drink it. If you chug it down when it hasn't fully dissolved it isn't as effective.

I know in the past I've been in a rush and just threw a teaspoon in my post workout shake, blended it for 5 seconds and drank it down. Unfortunately I probably didn't get the most out of that creatine.

So it's important to make sure your creatine is fully dissolved. Stirring basic creatine monohydrate can take several minutes to fully dissolve in water.

But now with the new improved micronized version, the creatine dissolves in seconds. It is much easier to mix.

Creatine in the Micronized Form is Absorbed Better

This type of creatine is essentially a purer form of creatine monohydrate.

The smaller size of the particals means it is absorbed and digested by your body much faster.

What this also does is eliminates any bloating. Some people using creatine felt very bloated because the creatine would take a long time to get fully absorbed.

Upset stomachs are usually eliminated when consuming creatine that is micronized.

Overall it is just a better form of creatine.

Product Recommendation - My Little Rant :)

The other day I ran out of whey protein and wanted to start another cycle of creatine, and of course I was planning on buying micronized creatine.

I usually buy my supplements online because it's just so much easier, however a local supplement store opened up and I decided to try and support my community.

So I walked in a asked if they had any basic creatine monohydrate in the micronized form. The store clerk didn't really know too much about creatine but proceeded to show me a product that I had never heard of and that was $50 for 48 servings!

Right away that's just way too expensive so I asked if that was the only micronized product they had, and he said it was.

So I browsed around, found the whey protein I needed and managed to find creatine monohydrate in micronized form from a popular brand which has 60 servings for $22. Obviously he didn't really know what micronized creatine was. I didn't say anything to the clerk but it just shows that they don't always know too much about the products.

Together my 5 pounds of whey protein, and 300 grams of creatine came to $90.

When I compared that to what you can get from an online retailer, it's clear that I overpaid big time, and the service wasn't any good. Am I going to buy from them again?... Probably not.

Bottom line, get your supplements online. It will save you money, and help you avoid headaches. A quality creatine supplement in micronized form is Optimum Creatine Powder and you get 200 servings for under $20!

Yes I paid way too much, so don't make the same mistake.
