Lap band surgery and protein intake

I had Lap-band surgery and I am suppose to take in 60-80 grams of protein in a day.

I have some whey protein I make smoothies with but am getting tired and am not sure I am taking in enough, I also have egg, cottage cheese and tuna, minimal amounts.

I was wondering if a protein pill would help me to make sure i am taking in enough protein in a day.....

Protein pills can help
by: Admin

First off, 60 to 80 grams of protein shouldn't be that hard to accomplish.

Those food sources are excellent sources of protein. Eggs are great so try and eat them everyday.

One can of tuna has around 30 grams of protein so that's a good chunk of your requirement, and eating cottage cheese as a bed time snack is another good protein source.

A quality protein like Optimum 100% Whey will have 24 grams per scoop, so this along with your eggs, tuna, and cottage cheese looks pretty good.

But you can substitute whey protein powder for protein pills if you want to.

You can read the article on protein pills here. It has a product recommendation.
