How to burn stomach fat does not boil down to one special exercise, or some magic pill.

It's really all about a lifestyle change.


So yes, that does sound boring. Lifestyle change doesn't really provide you with any specific things to do in order to burn the fat in your stomach.

However it's important to strike home the point that it doesn't come down to one single thing. Keeping everything the same and doing 100 sit ups per day isn't going to help you burn stomach fat.

Buying the latest weight loss pill while maintaining an unhealthy diet with no exercise isn't going to help either.

But there are a few things that we can do which incorporate this whole "lifestyle change" idea which really aren't that hard. And yes, if you're wondering how to burn stomach fat, these quick tips will help you get the ball rolling right away.

One thing to also mention is that if you have stomach fat right now, there is probably more than one factor which has lead to this. The more positive changes you make, the faster your results will be. So if you target your diet, your exercise and supplementation, you're going to reach your goal much faster than just walking a few more steps.

So let's look at some of the most effective changes you can make in order to burn that belly fat!


Consume Protein in the Morning

Here's the easiest thing you can start doing to achieve the biggest results in fat loss. It's called the 30 - 30 rule.

Simply consume 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up. This is an easy way to activate your fat burning hormones at the beginning of the day.

The best way to get 30 grams of protein in the morning is with whey protein. 1 scoop of Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey will supply you with 25 grams of protein.

Making a protein shake or fruit smoothie combined with whey protein is the most convenient way to achieve this task.

Follow a Slow Carb Diet

Change your diet, change your body.

Eat 4 or 5 similar meals per day consisting of proteins (eggs, lean meats, whey protein) and vegetables and lentils (beans, spinach, broccoli). Stay away from dairy products, fruit, sugar and white carbohydrates. If it comes in a wrapper don't eat it.

During the 6 days of this clean diet, write down all the foods that you crave, then on your cheat day once per week, eat as much bad food as you want. This calorie overload increases your fat burning capabilities and gives you something to look forward to during the week.


Gradually Experiment with Cold Therapy

Ice therapy will help trigger hormones in your body which are effective at burning fat.

It takes more energy to do a task when you're cold, and thus you enhance the fat burning process.

OK, so how can this be done? Easy! When you're watching TV or reading a book, simply apply an ice pack to the back of your neck and upper back area. This can be done for 20 to 30 minutes at night.

Take cold showers! Yes it sounds scary but it works. I personally do this and not only does it help me burn fat, it also wakes me up like you wouldn't believe.

To make it easier I start with a normal hot shower and for 1 to 3 minutes at the end I turn it to cold and soak my upper back. This makes it easier because you don't have to jump straight into a cold shower, you simply just reduce the temperature once you're already wet.

Another more extreme approach to this would be to take ice baths a few times a week.

Studies show that this type of ice therapy has a tremendous positive effect on how much fat you burn. These types of tactics will greatly enhance your fat burning capabilities. Yes they're unconventional, but they work!

What Do You Really Want?

How to burn stomach fat and making changes comes down to a good mental state. Those who make drastic changes are often those who have their backs to the wall.

Lose the weight now or you might die in a few years. Lose the weight now or you won't get a chance to see your kids grow up.

Sometimes these scary things are needed to make people change. If your back's against the wall and you've hit rock bottom, don't give up.

But if you're lucky enough not to be in this type of situation you can still use the psychology of winning. In fact, you're going to have to, to make it work.

Figure out exactly what you want, believe you can do it, and follow a plan. Yes it kind of sounds like Tony Robbins stuff, but it works. If you're not mentally on board, you're not going to burn fat and change your body.
