Is Optimum Nutrition produced from grass fed cows?
If not, what is the diet of these cows? Thank you Answer: I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this whey protein does not come from grass fed cows. If they aren't fed grass, they would be grain fed. Now, there are benefits to grass fed meat over grain fed meat, but whey protein is a very complicated nutritional product. There are many factors that would take hours to go over, but grass fed vs. grain fed might not be a big factor in the final product. If you require whey protein from grass fed cows there are some good options available such as Jay Robb's Whey Protein  , but when it comes down to the final product this might not be as big of a factor. There are many manufacturing processes and ingredients involved in creating a good whey protein that is effective for muscle building, and Optimum is a solid product.
