Full Throttle Energy Drink

Take your energy to its limits

Full Throttle Energy drink is apart of the Coca Cola company.

Some of its marketing revolves around the racing industry, hence the name "Full Throttle".

Energy drinks are well known for sponsoring extreme sports. Everything from mixed martial arts, to motocross has some kind of energy drink sponsoring their athletes and events.

Full Throttle Energy Drink

Full Throttle Energy drink has made a clear mark by supporting one of the most extreme forms of racing. It is the official drink of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). The NHRA is a huge racing organization.

Marketing plays a huge role in the energy drink industry. Being aligned with an organization like the NHRA was really a smart move by Coca Cola. Extreme racing fans are definitely a good group to target your energy drink towards.

One criticism regarding the marketing of the Full Throttle Energy drink would be the logo and can. I think the name "Full Throttle" works well with the racing market, but people have complained about the logo and the packaging. I would probably agree with some of the critics. They didn't really hit the bullseye with the logo and can design.

The way a product is delivered through its packaging can really make a difference in terms of sales. Many people believe drinks taste better just because the packaging is appealing. I remember reading about this with a brand of whiskey.

Based on reviews, one brand of whiskey certainly tasted better, but when the whiskey bottles were placed beside the testers, a significant change in preference occured. This has happened with other products as well. Packaging is very important and I think they could have done a little better with the Full Throttle Energy drink.

Apart from the look of the drink, it has gotten an overall good review from energy drinkers. Although the look is important, especially in this type of market, it's not everything.

A quality product will still get enough good word of mouth buzz to continue to drive sales. This seems to be the case with Full Throttle. There have been a lot of positive reviews.

In terms of caffeine per can, it seems to be aligned with other major energy drinks. It has more caffeine than a typical cup of coffee, but it's not as extreme as some of the other energy drinks. It has 141 mg of caffeine in a 16 ounce can. That's similar to the amount in the Rockstar Energy drink and the Monster Energy drink.

However, it does not match up to the more potent Cocain Energy Drink which has double the amount of caffeine in the smaller 8 ounce can.

Full Throttle Product Line:

Full Throttle doesn't have as many different types of drinks as Monster Energy drink, or Rockstar Energy drink. It has the basics that most energy drinks seem to have.

  • The Original
  • The Zero
  • Blue Demon
  • Fury
  • Coffee

There always seems to be an issue with safety regarding energy drinks. It is usually a case of excessive use that causes bad publicity with energy drinks. Also, the caffeine content is much too high for young children, and mixing with alcohol can be dangerous.

I also feel that the side effects tend to be a little over exaggerated. That being said, I would not recommend the usage of energy drinks. Using them once and awhile is fine, but the ingredients in the Full Throttle Energy drink, and all the other energy drinks do not categorize them as health supplements.

They might have a short term benefit, but there are much healthier options out there for boosting your energy. For more of the safety concerns you can check out the are energy drinks dangerous page.

Some healthy supplement alternatives to boosting your energy would be a high quality multivitamin and fish oil supplement. A healthy diet and exercise program, along with these important vitamins is much more important than the short term fix you get from an energy drink.
