Are testosterone boosters good if I'm tired and out of shape?

by Chris

I am 42, 50 LBS overweight and have diabetes 1. My energy levels are terrible. Starting to workout and was wondering if a testosterone booster would help.

Answer:

A testosterone booster is probably not your main concern right now. If you took one, you probably won't notice a difference.

The reason I'm assuming this is because it seems your health issues are weight related. If you visited your doctor and tests confirmed that you have low levels of testosterone, the first thing your doctor would probably do is recommend exercise and a diet change.

So first and foremost you need to focus on weight loss, and once your start to do that your energy levels will rise.

Being 50 pounds overweight is generally not a testosterone issue so I wouldn't look to supplements for help on this one. If you do get tests which reveal extremely low testosterone levels you can discuss options with your doctor.

The only supplements I would recommend you take would be a quality multivitamin, fish oil supplement, and whey protein.

Multivitamins and fish oil will help with your overall health. Whey protein is an excellent protein source and can help you burn fat and build muscle, two things you need to do.

Being overweight with low energy levels can be improved with exercise and the right diet. Whey protein is a supplement which can play a key role in your diet.

Consuming whey protein in the morning is the best way to start to "change" your bad habits and start to eat healthy. It's easy to make a protein shake and high levels of protein in the morning is ideal for losing fat. Your first meal of the day should definitely be a high protein meal, and nothing's easier than making a protein shake!

You can also consume whey protein as a healthy snack, and after a training session. Not only will it help you burn fat, but it will also help you build muscle. Increasing your muscle mass also makes your body burn more fat, this is why you should be doing some type of weight training session.

So in terms of supplements, avoid going for a testosterone booster and instead buy some whey protein, like Optimum 100% Whey.

After improving your diet, exercise will be your next most important thing. So many healthy complications can just be fixed by more exercise. All these pills and medications can be left on the shelf if we all just started to exercise more.

Most people are clueless when it comes to exercising for weight loss, and this is why I would recommend you get a fitness program. With the money you would be spending on a testosterone booster you can actually get a full diet and exercise program which tells you exactly what you really need to do to lose weight. I promise you more exercise is what you need, not a testosterone booster.

Consider reading about a diet and fitness program called Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle. It's one of the best diet and exercise programs you will find.
